Hampshire International Jamboree (HIJ) is coming — and it’s only possible thanks to a fantastic team of volunteers and staff. Together, we’ll welcome thousands of Scouts, Guides, and leaders from around the world for a week of adventure, friendship, and unforgettable memories.

🌟 Core Team Roles – Now Recruiting
We’re looking for passionate, committed volunteers to join the HIJ Core Team. These are leadership roles that help shape and deliver the jamboree from the ground up.
🙋 Who Can Apply?
We welcome applications from anyone aged 18 or over — whether you’re from Hampshire, elsewhere in the UK, or beyond.
HIJ is open to volunteers from Scouts, Guides, or external who want to be part of an international jamboree experience. If you’ve got the enthusiasm and commitment to help us deliver something amazing, there’s a place for you on the team.
All roles are subject to the relevant safeguarding and background checks, in line with Scout and Guide policies, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone at HIJ.

Finance Administrator
Finance Team
Help keep HIJ’s finances running smoothly! As a Finance Administrator, you’ll assist with payments, invoices, and reports — supporting the team that ensures our jamboree stays on track and transparent.
Head of Infrastructure
Core Team
Oversee the site’s essential services — including power, water, facilities, and logistics — so the jamboree has everything it needs to run smoothly.
Head of Communications & Engagement
Core Team
Shape and share the HIJ story — from brand and website to social media and on-site messaging, ensuring clear and inspiring communication for everyone involved.
Head of Retail & Sponsorship
Core Team
Manage jamboree shops, merchandise, and partnerships, creating great participant experiences while generating vital event income.
